  1. Bake Cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool three cake layers. Level, fill and stack layers for 6 in. high cake.
  2. Tint Icing. Combine Royal Blue and Violet icing colors to get blue color shown. Combine Violet and Rose icing colors to get purple color shown. Combine Pink and Orange icing colors to get pink color shown. Combine Moss Green and Kelly Green icing colors to get green color shown.

    Tint ½ cup white icing each blue, purple and pink using color combinations provided.

    Tint ¼ cup white icing green using color combination provided.

    Using Black icing color, tint 1 cup white icing black.

    Reserve remaining icing white.

    Prepare three decorating bags with tip 1M. Fill separately with blue, purple and pink icing.

    Prepare decorating bag with tip 352. Fill with green icing.

    Prepare two decorating bags, separately, with black and white icing. Cut ½ in. off tip of both bags.

  3. Decorate cake. Ice cake smooth using white icing. Using comb with square notches, comb cake.

    Starting at bottom of cake, fill first 7 grooves with black icing. Using white icing, fill in remaining grooves.

    Using icing smoother, smooth cake, cleaning off smoother after each use. Leave top edges rough.

    Using blue, purple and pink icing, pipe rosettes around cake, right above 7th black line.

    Using green icing, pipe leaves.
