3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons butter, melted

- Make donuts. Preheat the oven to 425°F. Spray the donut pan with vegetable cooking spray.
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg and salt. Add buttermilk, eggs and butter. Beat until just combined.
- Fill each pan cavity approximately 2/3 full.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes, or until the tops of the donuts spring back when touched. Let cool in the pan for 4-5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
- Add candy glaze. Place donuts on a cooling rack over a parchment-covered board.
- Melt white Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted white candy in a cut decorating bag to cover the top of donuts and dripping down sides. Tap to smooth and remove excess candy. Chill until firm, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Decorate donuts. Melt red Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted red candy in a cut decorating bag to pipe vein lines. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Make eyes. Melt purple, orange and green candy, separately, according to package directions. Prepare decorating bags with melted candy. Pipe 1 in. puddle dots on parchment paper-covered board. Chill until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Once set, use remaining candy of the same color to attach two flat sides of puddle dots together.
- Melt black Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted black candy in a cut decorating bag to pipe dot pupils. Chill until firm, about 3 to 5 minutes.
