  1. Bake and cool cone cakes. Prepare cake batter and fill cones.
  2. Place Cupcake Cone Baking Rack on a cookie sheet andthe rack with sugar ice cream cones.
  3. Bake and cool cones following the cake box or recipe directions.
  4. Trim and level overflowing cake with a knife, if needed.
  5. Place cones wide side down on a surface.

  6. Decorate cones.

    Sugar Pearl Trees:Cover the cones with a thin layer of icing. Roll in gold or silver Sugar Pearls.

  7. Coconut Trees: Cover the cones with a thin layer of icing and roll in coconut flakes. Using the gold Color Mist, spray the cone gold. Prepare a piping bag with a small amount white icing, and cut a small hole and the tip of the bag. Attach gold and silver Sugar Pearls with dots of icing.
  8. Piped Trees: Prepare a decorating bag with the open star decorating tip and white icing. Starting at the bottom of the cone, pipe pull-out stars around the cone. Using the gold or silver Color Mist, spray the cones. Attach gold, silver and white sugar pearl sprinkles.
  9. Star-Covered Tree: Using a decorating bag with the open star decorating tip and white icing, pipe stars around the cone. Using the gold Color Mist, spray the cone gold. Attach gold sugar pearl sprinkles to the center of each piped star.
  10. White Swirl Tree: Using the silver Color Mist, spray the cone silver. Using a decorating bag with the open star tip and white icing, pipe a swirl around the cone. Attach gold, silver and white sugar pearl sprinkles to the icing. Sprinkle with the sparkling and pearlized sugar sprinkles.
  11. For Solid Gold and Solid Silver Trees: Cover the cone with a thin layer of icing. Roll the cone in assorted gold sprinkles. Using the gold Color Mist, spray the cone gold. Repeat for the silver tree, using assorted silver sprinkles (including silver jimmies – see notes) and the silver Color Mist food color spray.
  12. For Gold and Silver Sprinkle Trees: Cover the cone with a thin layer of icing. Roll in the mixture of remaining gold and silver sprinkles.
