How to Pipe Snowflakes

Give your cozy gingerbread cottage a winter wonderland feel with snowflake accents on the rooftop or around doors and windows.

  1. Using royal icing and a decorating bag fitted with round tip 1, pipe two intersecting lines to form a “+”.
  2. Pipe four more diagonal lines, one in between each 90° angle from the center outward so the diagonal lines give the appearance of intersecting at the center of the “+”.
  3. Pipe a small dot in the center of the snowflake and at the end of each line.
