Simple techniques in intense colors raise the profile of your cupcakes! Tint icing with the Color Right Performance Color System in shades from navy blue to hot pink to create these attention-getting treats.
Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:
Blue (formula 647): 2 cups icing + 26 B + 8 R + 4 P
Teal (formula 3375): 2 cups icing + 1 B + 1 Y
Yellow (formula 7404): 2 cups icing + 24 Y + 1 BR
Purple (formula 2593): 2 cups icing + 26 P + 6 B + 5 C + 2 R
Pink (formula 224): 2 cups icing + 1 P + 1 BK
Bake and cool 12 cupcakes.
Prepare icing. Tint icing blue, teal, yellow, purple and pink following color formulas.
Decorate swirl cupcakes. Use tip 104, cut disposable decorating bags and tinted icings to outline half circles starting at edge of cupcake and ending in center. Alternate colors around the cupcake.
Decorate bead cupcakes. Use tip 104, cut disposable decorating bags and tinted icings to pipe first layer of beads from edge of cupcake to center. Alternate colors around the cupcake. Pipe a second layer of beads over end of first layer beads. Repeat for third layer to cover center of cupcake.
Decorate petal cupcakes. Use tip 104, cut disposable decorating bags and tinted icings to pipe rows of petals in alternating colors across cupcake.
