Bake cupcakes. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes in white cupcake liners.
Tint icing. Combine Orange and Christmas Red icing colors to get coral color shown. Combine Violet and Rose icing colors to get light and medium purple colors shown. Tint 2 cups icing each coral, light and medium purple using color combinations provided.
Decorate cupcakes. Prepare decorating bags separately with tips 2D and coral, light and medium purple icing. Pipe swirl on each cupcake, alternating colors.
