One day in advance, make truffles. Prepare Chocolate Truffles recipe following instructions for truffles. Chill 8 to 10 hours, or until firm.
Using cookie scoop, scoop truffles. Roll into balls and dust with cocoa powder.
Make cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool two cake layers.
Torte, fill and stack cake. Crumb coat, letting some cake show through icing.
- Decorate cake. Prepare batch of the Ganache and Truffles recipe, following instructions for ganache. Pour over cake; chill until set. Position truffles around cake.
