  • Favorite cupcake mix or recipe

  • Black Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Royal Blue Icing Color, 1 oz. - Blue Food Coloring

  • Red-Red Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Lemon Yellow Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Violet Icing Color, 1 oz. Gel Food Coloring

  • Golden Yellow Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Christmas Red Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • Creamy White Decorator Icing, 4 lb. Tub

  • Footballs Icing Decorations

  • Tools

  1. Bake cupcakes. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes in white baking cups.
  2. Tint icing. Tint 2 cups icing each blue, medium yellow, dark blue and medium red using color combinations provided. Combine Royal Blue and Violet icing colors to get blue color shown. Combine Golden Yellow and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get medium yellow color shown. Combine Royal Blue, Violet and Black icing colors to get dark blue color shown. Combine Christmas Red and Red-Red icing colors to get medium red color shown. Reserve remaining icing white.

  3. Decorate cupcakes. Prepare three 16 in. decorating bags with Color Swirl coupler pieces. Fill bags separately with blue, medium yellow and white icing. Secure bags with bag ties. Assemble coupler pieces with tip 2A or 1M (see second image).

    Pipe swirl on half of cupcakes.

    Repeat with remaining Color Swirl coupler, filling bags separately with dark blue, medium red and white icing. Assemble coupler pieces with tip 2A.

    Pipe swirl on remaining half of cupcakes.

    Top each cupcake with football icing decoration.
