Tasty Marble Cheesecake Brownies

Marble brownies are one of the best dessert combinations of all time! The sweet and tangy taste of cheesecake and homemade brownies, all swirled together, into one delicious easy recipe. Make these marble cheesecake brownies from scratch for a rich and velvety dessert that everyone can agree on.

Ingredients

    • Cheesecake Batter

    • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

    • 1/4 cup granulated sugar

    • 1 egg

    • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract

    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    • Brownie Batter

    • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour

    • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter

    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

    • 2 eggs

    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

    • 8 in. or 9 in. square baking pan

    1. Prepare the pan. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray 8 in. or 9 in. square pan with vegetable pan spray.
    2. Make cheesecake layer. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar with an electric mixer until creamy.
    3. Add egg and almond extract and mix well.
    4. Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
    5. Make brownie batter. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
    6. In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt butter and chocolate chips.
    7. Remove melted chocolate mixture from the microwave and then stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
    8. Add flour mixture and mix until just combined.
    9. Mix batters together. Alternate dropping spoonfuls of the brownie mix and cheesecake filling into the prepared baking pan. Swirl the two batters together to create a marbled effect using a knife.
    10. Bake & enjoy! Place the pan in the pre-heated oven for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely to room temperature before cutting.

    Notes

      • Add a Chocolate Chip Topping: Sprinkle 1/3 cup of chocolate chips on top of the brownies before baking for an extra special treat.
