Sensational Sloth Pretzel Snacks

Unlike their inspiration, these Sensational Sloth Pretzel Snacks are actually quite quick to make. Decorated with Candy Melts candy, these little sloths would make a great treat for any jungle or animal-themed party—and kids and adults are sure to get a kick out of these. A fun project for a lazy afternoon or rainy weekend, these sloth pretzels just might be too cute to eat!

  1. Melt candy.

    Melt candy separately according to package instructions; keep warm on warming tray. Combine 1 oz. Light Cocoa candy with Red and Blue candy colors to get black color shown. Combine 1 oz. Bright White and 1 oz. Light Cocoa candy with Yellow and Orange candy colors to get tan color shown. Tint candy black and medium brown using color combinations provided. Reserve remaining melted Light Cocoa and Bright White candy for later step.

  2. Dip pretzels.

    Using candy fork, dip pretzels in reserved melted Bright White candy; tap to remove excess. Transfer to waxed paper-covered cookie pan. Chill until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.

  3. Decorate pretzels.

    Prepare four decorating bags separately with melted Bright White, Light Cocoa, black and tan candy. Cut small tip on each bag.

    Using melted Bright White candy, cover bottom half of pretzels, filling in hole.

    Using melted tan and Light Cocoa candy, pipe hair on top half of pretzels, following pretzel arches. Chill until set, about 5 to 10 minutes. Reserve remaining candy for later step.

    Using reserved melted Light Cocoa candy, pipe eye masks. Let set, about 5 minutes. Reserve remaining candy for later step.

    Using melted black candy, pipe eyes, nose and mouth on each pretzel.

    Using reserved melted Light Cocoa and tan candy, pipe hair strands.
