Class Description

In this class, students will have the opportunity to fully engage in the art of from-scratch pie dough as we discover the components and techniques involved in the process. In the lecture portion of class we will discuss the science of dough and the common ratio for pie dough in addition to troubleshooting the problems that can occur during pie making. There will be hands-on work including pie dough recipe mise en place, mixing, rolling, shaping dough into pan, border designs, and practice blind baking crust.
