Patriotic Cupcakes with Tip 100

Celebrate 4th of July with these red, white and blue cupcakes. Perfect for all your summer celebrations, these cupcakes all use one tip to create eight amazing designs. Mix and match colors to best suit your occasion and have fun creating and decorating with tip 100!

  1. Bake and cool cupcakes. Bake and cool cupcakes in white cupcake liners.
  2. Tint icing. Tint icing following color formulas provided. Prepare three decorating bags with tip 100; fill separately with blue, red and white icing.

    Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:

    • Winter Blue: 1 cup white icing + 13B + 4R + 2P
    • Autumn Red: 1 cup white icing + 20C

    Reserve remaining icing white.

  3. Decorate cupcakes.

    Firecracker Cupcake (A) – Using red icing, holding bag at 30 degree angle, pipe row of upright petals around outer edge of cupcake. Pipe row of white upright petals on top of red and row of blue upright petals on top of white.

    Ruffles Cupcake (B) – Using blue icing, pipe bead border down center of cupcake. Pipe bead border on either side of middle border, alternating colors, until covered.

    Firework Cupcake (C) – Using pull out star technique, cover top of cupcake in icing, alternating colors.

    Stripes Cupcake (D) – Using white icing, holding bag at 90 degree angle, pipe row of dots down center of cupcake. Continue piping rows of dots, alternating colors, until covered.

    Flower Cupcake (E) – Using apple blossom technique and blue icing, pipe petals around top of cupcake. Pipe white petals on top of blue petals and red petals on top of white petals.

    Zig-Zag Cupcake (F) – Alternating between red and blue icing, pipe zig-zag lines on top of cupcake, starting from edge and moving towards center. Using white icing, pipe zig-zag lines on top and between red and blue zig-zags.

    Bullseye Cupcake (G) – Using blue icing, hold bag at 30 degree angle, placing tip parallel to the surface. Pipe circle around edge of cupcake. Continue piping circles towards center of cupcake, alternating colors.

    Pendant Cupcake (H) – Using red icing, pipe ruffle around edge of cupcake. Continue piping ruffles towards center of cupcake, alternating colors.
