Master Sugar Art

In this immersive workshop, students will be guided by Wilton veteran sugar art experts to master a variety of essential and advanced techniques. Each day is packed with hands-on practice, in-depth tutorials, and personalized feedback to refine your artistry and ensure you achieve expert-level proficiency. Join us and transform your passion for cake decorating into true mastery. Students will:

  • Learn the unique intricacies of working with Isomalt, including the correct temperature for proper cooking, coloring, handling and storage
    • Master key sugar art methods, including casting sugar in molds or pans, sand sugar, ice casting, bubble sugar, spun sugar and rock sugar.
      • Using a heat box and appropriate equipment, learn how to pull sugar appropriately to create ribbons, curly cues, bows and flowers.
      • Gain expertise in how to create designs using blown sugar, including spheres, hearts and swans
        • Learn how to assemble a cake using your new skills in sugar art

        This workshop will provide students with the knowledge and techniques to elevate their baking to a professional level. This class is approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE).
