Master Piping
In this immersive workshop, students will be guided by Wilton veteran piping experts to master a variety of essential and advanced techniques for decorative piping. Each day is packed with hands-on practice, in-depth tutorials, and personalized feedback to refine your artistry and ensure you achieve expert-level proficiency. Join us and transform your passion for cake decorating into true mastery. Students will:
- Learn the essentials of cake decorating including technique, angle, position, piping tip application and design.
- Master key piping methods, including borders, lace design, curving lines, drop string, flowers and writing
- Learn how to design your cakes based on occasion, servings, time of year, color and recipient.
- Learn how to stack, frost, and support a tiered cake using dowel rods
- Craft a variety of flowers including the Wilton Rose, carnations, mums, hydrangeas, lilies, drop flowers, and much more.
- Gain expertise in floral spray designs and use of flowers, including arrangement, color and position.
- Learn about the essentials of color theory and application.
- Learn the best recipes and application of boiled icing, royal icing and buttercream
- Learn about the essentials of color theory and application
This workshop will provide students with the knowledge and techniques to elevate their baking to a professional level. This class is approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education (IBHE).
