  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and lime zest until smooth.
  2. Next, beat in lime juice then gradually add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time. Make sure to beat well after each addition.
  3. Scrape down bottom and sides of bowl as necessary and beat on high until smooth, about 1 minute.
  4. If frosting seems too thin, add powdered sugar 1 tablespoon at a time. If it seems too thick, add more lime juice 1 teaspoon at a time until frosting reaches desired consistency.
