Crazy for Coral Cupcakes

These pretty and elegant cupcakes would make the perfect addition to your bridal shower or afternoon tea party. Decorated using various shades of pink and coral, these cupcakes feature stars made with drop flower tips, so your treats look textured and artistic.   1. Bake cupcakes. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes in white cupcake liners.
  2. Tint icing. Prepare two recipes buttercream icing. Combine Rose and Creamy Peach icing colors to get medium rose color shown. Combine Creamy Peach and Rose icing colors to get light coral and medium coral icing colors shown. Using color combinations provided, tint 1½ cups icing each medium rose, light coral and medium coral.

  3. Decorate cupcakes. Prepare three decorating bags separately with tips 1G, 1B and 2C. Fill separately with tinted icing.

    Using one bag at a time, pipe stars covering tops of cupcakes, alternating colors as desired.
