Big Batch Chocolate Donuts

Doughnut worry, be happy! These Big Batch Chocolate Doughnuts are sure to bring a smile to your face. Made with Dark Cocoa Candy Melts candy, these chocolate doughnuts are topped with a pink confectioners' sugar glaze and white sprinkles, making them great for Valentine's Day breakfast or to serve for a Mother's Day or bridal shower brunch. Add a cute little smiling face to your doughnuts to make sure everyone has a doughnut-fully fun day!

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray Mega Doughnut Pan with vegetable pan spray.
  2. In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
  3. In microwave-safe bowl, combine 1/2 cup Candy Melts Candy and butter. Microwave at half (50%) power 1 minute; stir. Microwave on 50% power in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melts are almost melted. Stir thoroughly until mixture is smooth.
  4. In medium bowl, whisk together sour cream, eggs and melted candy melt mixture. Add sour cream mixture to flour mixture; stir until just combined. Fill each doughnut cup approximately 3/4 full.
  5. Bake 9-11 minutes or until tops of doughnuts spring back when touched, rotating pan halfway through baking. Let cool in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely.
  6. For glaze, in medium bowl, whisk together confectioners’ sugar and milk. Using pink icing color, tint to desired shade. Dip tops of doughnuts in glaze. Top with sprinkles, if desired.
