Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt. In large bowl, beat together butter and sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Add melted chocolate and beat until smooth. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating until smooth. Divide dough in half and form into 2 discs. Cover and chill at least 1 hour or until firm.
- On lightly floured surface, roll out dough approximately 1/8 in. thick. Dip cutters in flour, cut and transfer cookies to cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet 2 minutes. Remove to cooling grid and cool completely.
